It's the second day of May, do you have plans tonight? Why not enjoy some live music? Here's a breakdown of concert highlights for this Mon., May 2.

Eternal Summers with Pohgoh, Diealps! The fourth album from Virginia power trio Eternal Summers, Gold and Stone, melds the bright breezy sparkle of indie pop with up-tempo future punk and grimy garage-noise into a rather finely-textured collection of 10 songs, accented by the pretty cooing calls and more snarly vocalizations of frontwoman/guitarist Nicole Yun. For fans of: La Sera, Dum Dum Girls. (New World Brewery, Ybor City)

Prong Tommy Victor has been leading the Prong charge since its inception in 1986 and amid more than a dozen lineup changes, combined various elements of heavy metal, thrash, groove, hardcore punk and industrial music through 11 LPs. Last year’s Songs from the Black Hole covered artists that explored the band’s influential musical roots (Black Flag, Killing Joke, Fugazi, Bad Brains and even Neil Young were included). This year’s X – No Absolutes turns up the original material intensity and prompts the current tour. (Orpheum, Ybor City)

The Gipsy Kings Feat. Nicolas Reyes and Tonino Baliardo The Grammy-winning European group known for bringing the pop-sensible Catalan rumba (a distant relative to traditional flamenco music) to audiences around the globe returns to St. Petersburg with their breezy Spanish-language serenades. (Mahaffey Theater, St. Petersburg)

Evanescence The gothic metal band that had a multi-platinum debut in 2003 and an overplayed mainstream radio hit in “Bring Me Back to Life” hasn’t been super active in the years since releasing their 2011 self-titled third album. Various lineup changes over the years now find wailing singer/pianist/frontwoman Amy Lee the sole remaining original member of Evanescence. (Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater)
