It's August, and that means local music fans have less than a month to wait for Merchandise's debut LP for famed UK-imprint 4AD (Cocteau Twins, Red House Painters), which sees its release on August 25. The Tampa-based outfit has already given us tastes of two of the album's tracks ("Little Killer," "Enemy"), and yesterday they shared a full stream of the effort's fourth track, "Green Lady."

Blogs from across the World Wide Web have wasted no time heaping praise on the four-and-a-half-minute throwback pop gem. Pitchfork named it "Best New Track " calling it "the most sensual and confounding moment in the band's entire career," while Stereogum (who premiered the song) wrote that it is "moody, depressive stuff, as deadly serious as its influences, and every bit as good." We here at CL are just happy about a hometown band getting much deserved international recognition.

Your next chance to see the band proper in Florida comes with a September 7 show in Gainesville, In the meantime you can check out the song below. Pre order the album here.
