Revered UK hard-rock magazine Kerrang! is sponsoring this tour headlined by Pennsylvania tech-metal outfit Rivers Of Nihil.

The band is touring behind a new album (Where Owls Know My Name) alongside a new saxophone player, Patrick Corona, who will work with guitarist Jonathan Topore (also handling supplementary keyboard duties) to help recreate the band’s most ambitious LP to date. Owls could be considered a concept album, and it focuses on the idea that the last human on earth is immortal and being forced to witness the end of the planet. The horn arrangements on the record make for some of its most emotional moments, so Corona could make this Crowbar gig one of the more unique metal shows Tampa Bay sees this year.

Rivers Of Nihil w/Entheos/Conjurer/Wolf King. Tues. March 26. Crowbar, Ybor City. crowbarybor.com.
