Michigan-based metal outfit We Came As Romansโ€”promoting its latest album Darkbloomโ€”had to cancel its headlining slot at a gig at Providence, Rhode Islandโ€™s Fete Music Hall last weekend.

During one of the opening sets, the venueโ€™s security team decided to not only aggressively escort a few fans out for moshing and crowd surfingโ€”two practices approved and encouraged by We Came As Romans in a security meeting that dayโ€”but when the bandโ€™s touring crew came outside the venue to calm both parties down, security at Fete ended up spitting in crew membersโ€™ faces, on gear, and even threatened physical violence.

Hopefully, security personnel at Jannus Live will pay close attention at whatever pre-show meetings go down Wednesday night.

Tickets to see We Came As Romans, Emmure, Bodysnatcher, and Archetypes Collide play St. Pete’s Jannus Live on Wednesday, Nov. 1 are still available and cost $25.50.
