Tampa Bay fans might’ve seen The Appleseed Cast when it headlined Crowbar last month, but the band is already heading back as the opener on a pretty righteous rock bill.

Today, two of the Midwest’s best indie-rock bands — Cursive and Cloud Nothings — announced a fall tour that’s hitting Ybor City on November 15. Other Florida dates on the tour supporting Vitriola (Cursive’s first album in six years) include Jacksonville (November 14 at Jack Rabbits), Miami (November 16 at The Ground), Orlando (November 17 at The Social) and Pensacola (November 18 at Vinyl Music Hall).

Ticketing information on the November 15 Crowbar show is still not available.

Cursive fans were pumped about Vitriola since it reunited frontman Tim Kasher, guitarist Ted Stevens and bassist Matt Maginn with founding drummer Clint Schnase for the first time since the band’s 2006 album Happy Hollow. Schnase won’t be with the band for the tour, however, since Cursive’s touring drummer is Pat Oakes. Longtime cellist Megan Siebe will also be on the tour along with keyboardist Patrick Newberry.

This will be Cursive’s first show in the area since an appearance at the since-canceled Pre-Fest.
