Few independent businesses in the Tampa Bay area can sell Pink Floyd records and the assorted works of F. Scott Fitzgerald in the same store and stay out of the red. Mojo Books & Music is an exception.
Mojo is not only doing well, but has expanded, moving a few doors down to a bigger space in the same USF area plaza. At 4,200-square-feet, it's double the size of the old storefront (photo below).
This Sat., May 28, owners Danny Drummond and Melanie Cade celebrate Mojo's success with a Grand Re-Opening, then host their very first in-store performance with Bonnie "Prince" Billy & the Cairo Gang the following Sun., May 29. (Click here to read Scott's story on the artist.)
The re-opening features live music by nine local bands and drawings for gift certificates throughout the day (more information and complete schedule after the jump).
