Take the synths and overproduced percussion of โ€˜80s new wave, and cross them with emotionally startling vocals spitting straightforward lyrics, and you get Starletta, the indie-pop project of ex-Edorra drummer-slash-songwriter Billy Duganne.

The Nashville songwriter just announced his debut solo album Neon Cowboy, due late this month and described as a sequel to his sentimental โ€œCrying In Miamiโ€ single.

Tickets to see Starletta play Crowbar in Ybor City on Friday, July 7 are still available for $15.
