Sweet Lizzy Project arrives in Tampa this weekend with what NPR describes as a sound “imbued with overtones of classic American indie pop-rock suffused with an intoxicating Latino flair.”

The Cuban-born, Nashville-dwelling outfit has three albums under its belt. In addition to last year’s SQS, Vol. 1, Sweet Lizzy Project teamed up with The Mavericks’ frontman—and Florida boy—Raul Malo, on its “Dreaming of a Revolution” project.

When the band stops at The Attic in Ybor City, be ready to hear both original material well as Great American Songbook classics in that Latino-indie-pop-rock fashion that appeared on the new album.
