Ritual Talk still has more than a month left on its tour of the U.S., and while the New York-based outfit bills itself as psychedelic indie-rock, the band’s latest single, “More Than I Can Mention,” is more like a modern take on old-timey, half-time blues where slinky guitar lines have been updated with big, bursting-at-the-seams harmonies and space-age synth flourishes. St. Petersburg folk singers Mountain Holler and Jun open the show at this St. Petersburg warehouse that is vital to the Bay area’s live music scene.
Ritual Talk w/Mountain Holler/Jun. Sun. Sept. 16, 8 p.m. $10 donation. Paper Crane, St. Petersburg.INFO.
