Ohio rock band Beartooth had a spot on 2020’s 98ROCKFEST, but the show was rescheduled twice because of COVID. The gig is now on Oct. 2, but Beartooth is no longer on the bill. But lucky for you, the hardcore act plays at this outdoor St. Petersburg venue, making for a way more intimate setting than an Amalie Arena show.
Like most people from Ohio, Beartooth—supporting its most vulnerable album to date—has a connection to Florida—TNSN DVSN, a creative house with one founder based in Tampa, handled the aesthetic of Beartooth’s last two albums Below and Disease (the company pronounced “Tension Division” also works with some big guns including Twenty One Pilots, Billy Corgan and Death Row Records).
Christian metalcore band Wage War and Seattle’s Dragged Under open the all ages weekday show.
Beartooth w/Wage War/Dragged Under. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 6 p.m. $25.50-$32. Jannus Live, St. Petersburg.
