Bravo to Hooch and Hive, which has settled in quite nicely at a University of Tampa area spot that couldn’t quite find the right team to bring the building to life. The joint’s live-music calendar has been coming along (did you catch St. Pete punk trio Broom Closet last week?), and this one finds Samantha Sirius (Moons Over My Sammy) and Theo Severson (Oprah Spinfrey) reconnecting after being mainstays at long-shuttered Ybor City nightclub Czar.
Heck Yeah! w/Moons Over My Sammy/Oprah Spinfrey. Fri. July 27, 10 p.m. No cover. Hooch and Hive, 1001 W Cass St., Tampa. facebook.com/hoochandhive.
