Lakeland means a lot to Florida emo kids, and bands like Nora’s Breakfast Club are part of that history.
Formed by Christian school kids, the shoegaze quartet recorded its debut, Soliloquy, at Morrisound Recording in Tampa, and released it at the Lakeland Civic Center. Quite the leap from the Unity Club.
It reunited in 2012 and is back again, two years after recording new music at Omnipop (stylized in all-caps), a music studio founded by Aaron Marsh. Marsh, the principal of another famed Swan City outfit (Copeland), plays support on this show celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Club’s debut and a new single, “Even If You Don’t Want Me To.”
