It’s 2015, and Weezer sound a whole like like…well, Weezer, again. After a few years of an iffy, “WTF is wrong with you Rivers?” existence, the 45-year-old power pop weirdo has decided to bring his band back to a time when people were still buying Pinkerton and the “blue” album on CD.

It’s all thanks to a brand new single the band debuted via Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show on Apple Music. “Do You Wanna Get High?” arrives just over a week after the band released another single (“Thank God For Girls”) , and the new jam is vintage Weezer that will please anyone over 30 years old (and confuse everyone else). Cumos’ appearance on Lowe’s show (alongside bassist Scott Shriner) was the first time the guys publicly discussed new the stuff and the fact that they don’t have a label.

“[We] are open to dinner dates with A&R representatives,” they added.

Have a listen to the most excellent new stuff below. You can also listen to the track on your preferred streaming service today.
