A few months ago, Friday night’s Christie Lenée concert in Largo was set to be much different.

Singer-songwriter Patty Smyth (no, not the punk rock icon) was scheduled to headline with guitarist Lenée—named among Guitar World’s “Best Acoustic Guitarists in the World Right Now’—opening.

But the “Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough” co-hitmaker had to cancel her entire tour; Lenée, however, did not want the tour to die altogether. As a result, she brings her fingerstyle techniques, along with keyboardist Joe Cosas and drummer Jonathan Thomas to her hometown.
