Johnathon Ford — an ex-member of Pedro the Lion and Roadside Monument — is bringing his post-rock project, Unwed Sailor, to Tampa as part of a string of summer tour dates.

This no-cover show is one of six Florida dates on Unwed Sailor’s 12-date tour. It comes on the heels of a new album (Heavy Age, the band’s first LP since 2008’s Little Ways), and a month after the release of new, non-album track, “Gone Jungle.” Recorded after Heavy Age was released, the instrumental track premiered on Treble, with the site making note of the heavy punch on the cut as well as the song’s “deep grooves and hazy atmosphere.”
