Sir Paul McCartney is coming to Tampa's Amalie Arena on July 10.

Amalie Arena officials Steve Griggs and Kevin Preast — with Jeff and Penny Vinik watching — made the announcement official today during a British-themed press conference at the venue. Several outlets have been reporting on expanded U.S. dates for the "One on One" tour since this morning.

Any rumours surrounding the announcement were immediately confirmed upon arrival at the arena where the Lexus Lounge was decked out in British decor including London's famed phone booths plus tea and biscuits (an "Elevenes" for us American, folk). A Beatles playlist played in the background.

Arena officials have confirmed that tickets for the new shows go on sale to the general public May 1 at 10 a.m. EDT. They'll cost fans $31.25-$251.25.

As our friends at the Tampa Bay Times pointed out this morning, this would be the Beatles bassist's fourth show in Tampa, after dates at Tampa Stadium (1990) and the Ice Palace/St. Pete Times Forum (2002, 2005).
