A long-running, eclectic South Pinellas treasure opens its doors to a jam scene staple next week when Brock Butler plays The Blueberry Patch in Gulfport on Thursday, Dec. 22.

Solo stuff from the Perpetual Groove frontman forgoes much of the Southern-jam vibe of his band in favor of a introspective, warm, acoustic sound that runs throughout work like his 2009 album Lately Here Though.

Don’t be surprised to hear instrumentals tucked next to a Paul Simon or Flaming Lips cover at the gig where local prog-rock favorite Anthill Cinema headlines.
