Bananas Music’s 22nd Avenue retail location stayed open late last Saturday night as four rock trios struck chords for local ride-or-die fans, WMNF listeners, and the concrete solid staff of the fabled record shop. Against all odds, punk-rock band RATH and the Wiseguys flawlessly got through an opening set with one member absent, and Saturn Lights frontman Michael Haganโ€”straight outta Gainesvilleโ€”lived up to his promise of not falling offstage the way he did a night or two prior.

Though Johnny Mile and the Kilometers had the most engaged audienceโ€”mainly thanks to bassist Chris Cardon posing like there’s no tomorrow and even allowing a fan to pluck a few bass strings along with him mid-songโ€”The Drain Outs started a mini moshpit that even included the out-of-towners in Saturn Lights.
