Last night, like many nights, found Brian Mahar at The Bends in St. Petersburg, Florida. Like most of those nights, a touring band was playing (this time it was Sewage, who have roots in the early 90s NYC punk scene). Unlike most nights, the touring band picked up a drummer from Tampa Bay.
Here's what Brian turned in along with these photos from the show.
Sewage drummer took off so they brought on Bay Area resident AIDS of Dead Cat Lounge . He played w both bands tonight … learned the songs yesterday . Band Leader Spike Polite has an interesting story living in nyc playing w GG Allin day he OD' and killed himself . Other member was in Reagan Youth (another iconic USA Hardcore Band) . And now AIDS on drums . Aids is the one without a shirt most of time – guy in middle Holding up the sewage shirt since he just joined The band – picking up and going on tour w them just like that.
Well, damn. Best of luck out there!
