A veritable pop-punk superbill dropped into Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on Saturday, and while Florida’s loafer-ed king of pain headlined the entire show with his band Dashboard Confessional, the evening featured formidable supporting lineup anchored by Kississippi and buoyed by Beach Slang. Here's an excerpt from the review:

Revisiting old wounds will never be as fun as it is at a Dashboard Confessional concert, and Carrabba, even with the technical difficulties, smiled through nearly every minute of it. Maybe because it’s always great to be home (the band originated in Boca and even features a local boy — Chris Kamrada — on drums). Maybe it’s because Carrabba has one of the best bands in recent D/C history (Kamrada, Scott Schoenbeck on bass, Jay Armon on guitar) or maybe it was the Amy Shark cover he worked into the set.
