Last summer, Mayday Paradeโ€™s Alex Garcia told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that his band was working on new material, but didnโ€™t necessarily want to put everything out in bulk.

But once it hit that the Tallahassee five-piece was turning 20 this year, minds must have changed because in January, Garcia and friends announced a trilogy of releases to celebrate their China anniversary together.

The first album Sweet, which releases days before this return to town, is set to feature Knuckle Puck, and a few songs about how a relationship, regardless of its current status, saw the narrator work on bettering himself.

Microwave, Grayscale and Like Roses open.

Tickets to see Mayday Parade play Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on Tuesday, April 22 are still available and start at $39.50.
