Slow it down, and don’t tell Pitchfork readers, because pop star in-the-making Benson Boone has announced a massive North American tour, which includes a Tampa stop in the fall.

A few weeks ago at Coachella, the 22-year-oldโ€”who was just the musical guest on โ€œSaturday Night Liveโ€โ€”announced his new album Young American Heart, which he says takes after Bruce Springsteen, Americana, and โ€œretro vibesโ€ as a whole. It doesnโ€™t drop until June 20, and the first single โ€œMystical Magicalโ€ doesnโ€™t really match up to said inspirations, but Queenโ€™s Brian May clearly approves of Boone, so what is there to worry about?

Booneโ€™s โ€œAmerican Heartโ€ tour begins in Saint Paul, Minnesota on August 22, and if his Saturday night date in Tampa wonโ€™t work for you, Boone will also be in Miami the night after Tampa, and then Orlando on Sept. 16.

Tickets to see Benson Boone play Tampaโ€™s Amalie Arena on Saturday, Sept. 13 go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. and will start at $34.75. Additional presales start on Wednesday for American Express cardholders and subscribers to Booneโ€™s mailing list.
