Scott Bradlee has some beef with Twitter (the social media company suspended the Postmodern Jukebox mastermind’s account for playing a snippet of an Elton John song on the piano; Bradlee, 37, says Universal Publishing reported it because “Twitter won’t make a deal with them”). It’s a good thing Postmodern Jukebox’s tunes have very little to do with social media, and you can expect fans of the covers collective to have the phones down when it brings a “Welcome to the Twenties 2.0 World Tour” to Ruth Eckerd Hall. Clearwater calls one again on Saturday because of Royston Langdon who spent five years as frontman for Spacehog. He arrives at Capitol Theatre as a solo artist and opener for Psychedelic Furs who were just in town two years ago with another quality opener in tow (Tommy Stinson’s Bash & Pop). Langdon’s new LP (Everything’s Dandy, released under the LEEDS moniker) has a fun, futuristic pop sound, and it’ll play well with Tim and Richard Butler’s well-worn U.K. post-punk.
