While modern country is continuously selling tickets in Tampa Bay, old-school country acts like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson still influence artists throughout the state. Gainesville-outfit Palimony is a group rooted in this “slower and sadder” style, blending golden-era sounds with its own psychedelic interpretation.

The sound is fluidly executed by a seven-piece band that features traditional instruments along with strings and horns section. The group offers a revitalized take on classics from country-western music, and its unique setup makes Palimony a fun band to watch.

You can catch this show at Paper Crane where tickets will be available at the door.

Palimony w/Hi-Beam/Ricky Steece. Tues. Nov. 19. 8 p.m. $10. Paper Crane, St. Petersburg. INFO.
