The music industry is betting on the continued rise of Latin music, and high-profile bookings at Amalie Arena (Luis Miguel) and Yuengling Center (Don Omar) are proof that promoters are willing to put some skin in the game, too.

On Thursday, Zamora Live announced that it would be bringing Anuel AA to Amalie on July 21. If you’re like me, then the first thing you probably said was, “Who the fuck is that?”

The charts will have you know that the 26-year-old Puerto Rican rapper who helped bring Latin Trap music into the mainstream had his latest single (“Secreto,” with Karol G), collect more than 100 million views in just 10 days (the song broke into the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. upon its debut in January 2019, according to a press release).

Mr. AA’s 17-stop “Real Hasta La Muerte 2” tour finds him in a mix of theaters and arenas. There’s only one other Florida date (July 20 at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville) on the itinerary.

The March 21 release says that tickets are set to on sale to the public “next week,” but tickets will cost $59-$149. More information is available via amaliearena.com. Watch “Secreto” below.
