Ahead of next week’s Spring Beer Jam, a Rage Against the Machine tribute fronted by Dunedin rapper Jon Ditty takes over Dunedin Brewery’s Moon Tower venue—and the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

The brewery’s been the object of affection for a vocal minority of residents who continue to call in noise complaints, but last week, the city manager issued a memo that supporters of the local music scene basically called a win.

“This effectively secures nightlife and amplified music after 11 p.m., so long as it is inside the building and does not exceed 65 decibels at the property line,” Michael Lyn Bryant, general manager at Dunedin Brewery, wrote.

There’s no cover to see Jon Ditty’s Rage Against the Machine tribute play The Moon Tower in Dunedin on Sunday, March 24.
