Would a dolphin ever jump over a paddle boarder? Well, Tampa can be odd, and the ocean is strange. The internet is even weirder. Plus, didn't one just jump over a St. Pete surfer last year? Just watch this video of the perp allegedly jumping over the person shimmying across the water just outside the Tampa Convention Center.
The video was uploaded to YouTube by Ty Sullivan yesterday and is starting to go viral. It depicts a young lady (Sarah Morris according to this Facebook post) posing for pictures while her friend mistakenly runs video.
"How many more pictures are you going to make me take?," asks the friend with camera in hand.
The cynic in us smells a complete hoax and bad acting (sorry Sarah), but it’s still pretty fun to watch one of our local bottle-nosed buddies hop up, out of the water, and over an unsuspecting outdoors enthusiast.
Sullivan, who, according to Facebook is an employee at The ARMory Pitching Academy in Brandon, also apparently loves the outdoors. He’s listed as a staff for HALO Waterfowl — a group of like-minded outdoor types with a love for hunting and clothing — and his Instagram page features well composed shots of his life as a hunter and fisherman (animal lovers beware).
We’ve reached out to Sullivan for some comment and will update you if it comes in. In the meantime, let us know. Real or another case of the Bayshore Shark?
