James Dewees is about sick of the snow in Buffalo, so he’s coming down to Florida to play a few solo shows. Dewees, 42, of course is the artist better known as Reggie & The Full Effect, and he’ll be at Blue Note Tampa on April 11.

Houston songwriter Mallory Welch will open the show, along with two other Florida concerts happening in Orlando (April 12 at Soundbar) and Jacksonville (April 13 at Nighthawks).

The Tampa stop is notable in that it’s the first time a bigger act (Dewees’ last Bay area show was in March 2018 at Orpheum) has been booked to play the very intimate, just-outside-of-Ybor songwriter’s den. Advance tickets cost $17 and are on sale now via etix.com.
