The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band w/Little Sheeba & the Shamans/Camille Dupree & Broken Fetters

Washboard percussion. That’s all you really need to know to get started on the Reverend Peyton fan train. The trio has long been infamous for a banjo-wielding brand of hell raising revival folk that pre-dates Nathaniel Radcliffe’s now popular take on it.

The only knock on the Rev seems to come from cross-armed critics who say the Indiana roots music outfit never really try to evolve their sound. These are the same critics who also seem to enjoy concerts with their feet nailed to the ground, so take that all that with a grain of salt.
