With the youngest members of Ax and the Hatchetmen about to graduate college, there’s not going to be a shortage of material from the Chicago-based indie-rock outfit anytime soon.

The mostly-music-majors plan on dropping a debut album full of more horned-up love songs, while also hitting more milestones, the most recent one being a night onstage at West Hollywood’s Troubadour.

With a discography currently filled primarily with singles and EPs, if you’re looking for a band to say “I saw them when” about a few years from now, this might be it.
