
Around 3 p.m., live music begins in the biergarten with the “surf noir/spy-fi” sounds of Sam Williams. You have to pay for anything further than that, but getting to experience local rockabilly names perform—and then getting shuffled around with fellow names to imitate rockabilly giants—it’s worth every penny.
And if you’re doing the pirate thing Saturday, but still want to see Rod Hamdallah, Atlanta’s crown prince of soul-drenched garage-blues, without paying a cover, then catch him when he plays a free set at Ella’s Americana Folk Art Cafe on Friday night.
