Bay area Pink Floyd fans have a lot to be happy about this morning since Roger Waters has just announced an Amalie Arena show on July 11, 2017 as part of his 2017 North American "Us + Them" tour.

“We are going to take a new show on the road, the content is very secret,” Roger Waters said in a release. “It’ll be a mixture of stuff from my long career, stuff from my years with Pink Floyd, some new things. Probably 75-percent of it will be old material and 25-percent will be new, but it will be all connected by a general theme."
"It will be a cool show, I promise you. It’ll be spectacular like all my shows have been.”
Tickets for the Amalie Arena date start at $55 and go on sale Friday, October 21 at 10 a.m. EDT. VIP package sales and Citi presale tickets will begin earlier on Monday, October 17 at 10 a.m. EDT.Why? Citi is the official credit card of the Roger Waters – Us + Them 2017 tour.

The news comes after Amalie Arena announced a new partnership with ride-sharing service Uber who'll now have new, designated pick up & drop off areas at the arena. This supplements existing alternative transport options provided by Hillsborough Area Regional Transit, the City of Tampa, Coast Bike Share, cabs, Water Taxis, TECO's streetcar and The Downtowner a free downtown electric cart.
