Nary a year goes by where blues lovers aren’t graced with a show from blues goddess Samantha Fish. And she doesn’t live around here, either.

In the last few years alone, the 35-year-old has stolen the show at Tampa Bay Blues Festival, opened for Steve Miller Band in downtown Clearwater, and even made the historic Tampa Theatre feel like a gritty blues bar during a December 2021 set.

Her latest album Death Wish Blues (made with honorary Highwayman Jesse Dayton) is a crisp, rollicking collection of skittish duets and plenty of Double Trouble influence leaking through.
