During the pandemic, Bill Whartonโ€”aka Sauce Boss, whoโ€™s playing Dunedin on Saturday, June 17โ€”had one of the biggest breaks of his life.

The gumbo chef/blues guitarist composed the score for โ€œJimmy Carter: Rock and Roll President,โ€ a film of which was praised by 39 himself.

Wharton is also the subject of Jimmy Buffettโ€™s 1999 song โ€œI Will Play for Gumbo,โ€ and while Dunedin Brewery has some kick ass wings, weโ€™re definitely saving room for the Bossโ€™ own homemade gumbo which he promises to dish out at this free concert.
