Miami-based artist Sean Kingston started off as a hip-hop artist who got to open for the likes of Gwen Stefani and a fresh-outta-Destiny’s Child Beyoncé.

The 33-year-old’s soulful voice has since experimented with mainstream pop sounds, and most recently—as displayed on his latest album, 2022’s Road To Deliverance—reggae.

At this point, it’s almost sinful that Kingston isn’t in a larger space like—at bare minimum—Jannus Live, but if he somehow enters a new era genre-wise, this weekend may be the last time The Ritz Ybor sees him onstage.
