What. The. Fuck. Keith Ulrey has made his Seminole Heights record store, Microgroove, work, and the neighborhood around him is growing, too (have you seen the fancy-schmancy new offices across Florida Avenue?). On Sunday, Ulrey celebrates with friends and a four-hour lineup of bands that are anchored in the indie-rock tradition, but manage to float off into a little emo (Blacksmith), art-rock noir (Mrenc), pop (The Last Nerv, The Paperback Whale) and punk (Rutterkin).

Admission is free, and there’ll be coffee (Commune + Co.), beverages (Jug & Bottle) and free PBR if you’re of age. What’s even better is that you get 10% off your tab at the nearby Independent Bar & Café (where Americana singer-songwriter Matt Woods plays a free show) with your Microgroove receipt.

Do not park at Cappy’s Pizza. We repeat: Do not park at Cappy’s Pizza.

Microgroove ‘s 8th Anniversary Celebration: The Last Nerv w/The Paperback Whale/Blacksmith/Mrenc/Rutterkin. Sun. Dec. 1, 11 a.m. No cover. Microgroove, Tampa. INFO.
