Strange things happen at Tampa Heights sports club and music venue Shuffle, and this weekend is no exception.

Instrumental rock favorite Row Jomah—playing a collection of originals and covers the outside stage—probably knows this, but its gig there this weekend coincides with Melapalooza!, a 40th birthday celebration for music scene supporter and all-around great friend Melanie Hodge Rouse.

Shuffle bosses have promised a side of polka, and lots of corn dogs. “We hired a Disney Princess but she might be in rehab by then,” Shuffle added. “We can’t say which one, due to legal reasons.”

There’s no cover to see Row Jomah or check out Melapalooza at Tampa Shuffle on Saturday, Aug. 5.
