At this point we’re going to assume that somebody in the Bay area has either adopted 8 Ball Aitken or let him park his trailer in their yard. The Australian songwriter has appeared on our live music calendar three times in the last two months: once at the Independent in Seminole Heights, another time at a Tampa house show and again as direct support for Tinsley Ellis at Skipper’s Smokehouse. On Wednesday he finally gets to headline a the Skipperdome, where we suspect he’ll stretch out and really let his unique blend of blues and Down Under country music (not the Keith Urban kind) unfurl much like the way his fiery mop of hair does onstage.
