It takes a special someone to steal from another human being, and it takes an even more special soul to find the silver lining in all of it.

That's just what St. Pete musician Aaron Nelson has done after someone (who is pictured below) took off with his Alvarez acoustic electric following a gig at Emerald Bar off Central Avenue.

Nelson, who plays in Moon Flag and Luxury Mane, bought it at the old Stevie B's on the 600 Block and says he's played it out live more times than he can possibly remember. It's appeared on many of his solo LPs, including some stuff from Termite Dust, which you can hear below.

"I play out regularly doing cover gigs with this guitar, and have recently been doing so a lot more, so I'm out anywhere between an average of $200 to $500 a month without this thing," Nelson told CL, "which doesn't sound like a lot of money, but it is for a working poor musician such as myself."

He's not trying to write a sob story, either, in fact, he's been able to see the silver lining in all of it after a big response from the online community, who've shared his original Facebook post detailing the theft almost 500 times.

"Yeah [some people do suck], but the amount of people that don't suck outweigh the bad ones, based on the reaction I've seen to my situation," Nelson added, "it really gives me a tiny sliver of hope for humanity."

Have a look at some photos of the guitar, as well as some of the alleged thief, below.
