If you need an excuse to drink cheap beer and watch live punk rock early on a Sunday, then the VFW Post 39 has a plan for you.

Orlando pop-punk outfit Dial Drive is bringing a fellow City Beautiful band (the comparatively more thrash-y Longest Hall) to play an early show alongside St. Petersburg loungecore group Silver Alert and local punk unit Razor and the Boogiemen. This starts seriously early (first band at 4 p.m.), so you’ll be back home to mow the lawn before the sun goes down.

Dial Drive w/The Longest Hall/Silver Alert/Razor and the Boogiemen. Sun., Aug. 4, 3 p.m. $6. VFW Post 39, St. Petersburg. INFO.
