✔️ Las Rosas w/Deadborns/Fever Beam/FayRoy/Soapbox Soliloquy Well, looks like some of the best bands in Pinellas are getting together to make sure that Brooklyn-based Las Rosas feels at home in the Sunshine City. Members of FayRoy and Soapbox Soliloquy will play DJ between sets by Deadborns and newish Bay area band Fever Beam before Las Rosas gives fans cuts from its 2018 album, Shadow By Your Side, where the worlds of New York City and Nashville get married over spaced-out indie rock that twangs (“The Ghost”) and boogies, too (“Tax Man”). Scott Stapp Scott Stapp was pretty short with CL when we talked with him last summer, but we weren’t expecting the Creed frontman to spill his guts anyway. The 44-year-old pretty much did that in a series epic public meltdowns, which he’s thankfully come out from underneath of in recent years. This isn’t a Creed set from Stapp, but a full band will be backing him when he plays songs from the Christian rock outfit’s catalog, which is still appreciated in some circles. ✔️ LANY w/Colouring Paul Klein, Jake Godd and Les Priest are Coachella darlings with a fast-rising profile and hot new single (“Super Far,” which has accumulated over 120 million streams on just Spotify alone). That’s why it’s no surprise that their band LANY’s Ybor City show has been sold out for a while now. Good luck if you don’t have a ticket, but do know that you’ll be seeing the L.A. indie-pop group in much bigger digs soon. (The Ritz, Ybor City) SOLD OUT
