Detroit DJ Stacey Pullen has been around since the ‘90s back when EDM was known as “progressive” or “techno” and Jncos were worn unironically.
During the Motor City’s Second Wave, he mentored under “Detroit's legendary three: Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson.”
Best to not make plans for the next morning because Resident Advisor saus Pullen “became renowned for long, experimental, adventurous and soulful journeys through music that lasted at least 5 hours.” Pullen hasn’t been in town in a bit, so the 21 & up night show should be an intimately-awesome, and possibly very long, welcome back.
According to the event page, masks are still required so don’t forget yours.
Stacey Pullen w/Dru Ruiz/Doctor Boom. Friday, June 18, 9 p.m. $30. The Attic, Ybor City. eventbrite.com
