Staind singer, self-titled “Outlaw Country” musician and all around asshat Aaron Lewis is coming to Clearwater’s Ruth Eckerd Hall on March 5. Lewis will be performing a solo acoustic set, but be warned: If people are noisy he’s known to throw a tantrum, cuss out the crowd and end the show early. He’s also a racist, telling people not to speak Spanish because he’s “American!”

But if Lewis was so American, maybe he wouldn’t fuck up the lyrics to the “Star Spangled Banner” which he did before a 2014 World Series game. Maybe he needs to go back to Patriot school.

Just when you thought the “It’s Been Awhile” singer couldn’t get any worse, check his offensive little tune “If I Was A Liberal” (originally his song “If I Were the Devil”). His merchandise looks could have clothed the insurrectionists with some trite “Don’t Tread on Me” shirts.

While trying to get to know Lewis better on his Instagram page, I discovered he likes hunting, guns, weed, and thinks Hillary Clinton should be in prison.

Tickets for the Clearwater show went on sale last Friday. Tickets are only sold in pairs, and Ruth Eckerd Hall has a list of COVID-19 regulations it strictly enforces. So mask up, keep your mouth shut, and liberals—well, donate to a liberal cause in Lewis’ honor, we guess.

Aaron Lewis. Fri. March 5, 8 p.m. $48.25-$78.25, Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater. rutheckerdhall.com
