Stranger Things fans can now take their adoration to another level. The Verge points out that someone has created a website with the sole purpose of letting you type whatever the hell you want and see it in the font from the breakout Netflix series.
Let your inner nerd flag fly.
What's more is that the soundtrack is available online and will now be performed live for the first time by S U R V I V E (aka the two Austrians, Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein). The performance is supposed to happen on October 16 when the duo play the Unsound festival in Krakow. Tickets to Poland are just north of $1,000 right now.
Someone who might go? Local synth maestro Matt Reisinger, who crafts chill sounds under the Fr33dback moniker.
"Any time I hear a score like the one that S U R V I V E created for Stranger Things, I get goosebumps, even with my eyes closed. I felt that way with Kavinsky's music in Drive, and Disasterpeace's work on It Follows. It's the sound of my people," Reisinger, 32, told CL in a message.
"I grew up fascinated with horror movies of the 70's and 80's, and I'll never forget the works of John Carpenter. There's something supernatural about how the synthesizer can make you feel. I will sometime spend hours with my Minimoog and completely lose myself in the sonic landscapes that it can create."
