After playing one of Jannus Live’s first limited-capacity shows, my dad’s late night jam choice, Tab Benoit is back in town to make his debut at Clearwater’s Capitol Theatre this weekend.

The Baton Rouge bluesman is one of the modern artists doing Delta Blues right, evidenced in his multiple awards including a couple B.B.King Entertainer of the Year award from the Blues Music Awards. If your family is anything like mine, take your dad to see Tab Benoit and give your mom a much deserved night alone. But it is Mother’s Day weekend, so you better order her dinner and promise an up close with Adam Levine in the future (her fantasy, not mine).

Capitol Theatre is still holding tight to its COVID-19 protocols including a mask requirement and temperature checks. Capacity is at 50% with tickets being sold in pairs. If you want to be even more socially-distanced, a private loge box for four goes for $220.
