Fronted by Deviant Libation founder and brewmaster Tim Ogden, The Path of Increased Indifference is a band that plays a self-described โ€œpost-hardcore meets noisecore with a math rock twistโ€ brand of rock.

Its new album, Night School Field Trip, has been in the works for about as long as the venueโ€™s been openโ€”and while itโ€™s been five years since thereโ€™s been anything new from the band, you donโ€™t rush art, especially when youโ€™re able to score a guest spot or two from fellow Tampa-based artists like Meatwoundโ€™s Marty Iglesias who contributes vocals to the title track.

Purr Purr Purr, the feline rap project of songwriter Shae Krispinsky, opens the show alongside Bay area instrumental-rock heavyweight Prescribed Fire and punk-scene staple Dead Mirrors.

Tickets to see The Path of Increased Indifference play Deviant Libation in Tampa on Friday, Feb. 28 are $15 at the door.
