Creative Loafing Tampa’s HighBall cocktail event happens on Thursday, January 24, and we asked some of the bartenders slinging drinks to answer one question.

"If you had to use a song to sum up your bartending style, what would it be?"

Some of the answers were ironic (“Hotel California,” selected by No Vacancy’s Laura Moore) and others were cheekily related to actual cocktails (“Rock You Like A Hurricane,” selected by Errin Gowdy at Vinoy’s Paul’s Landing). One of the choices scared us (“Sicko Mode,” selected by the Crafty Squirrel’s Anthony Worms), but the best one-two belonged to The Avenue’s Madison Colmorgen and Solomon Sohn from Armature Works.

Colmorgen picked the Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way,” while Sohn’s selection said what every bartender probably thinks in their head after a customer complains: “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” (by the Rolling Stones).
