Now that Grace Potter and the Nocturnals has been history for almost a decadeโ€”due, in part, to her and band member Matt Burr divorcingโ€”the now-40-year-old singer-songwriter continues to ride high with her latest album Mother Road, a soulful collection that features contributions from Nick Bockrath (Cage The Elephant) and Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers).

Potter once told CL Tampa that during a hiatus in the latter-half of last decade, she didnโ€™t miss the music industry, but she did miss meeting people, so if you see Potter in the crowd at Samantha Fish or Tab Benoitโ€™s set at the 29th annual Tampa Bay Blues Festival, which runs through April 14, donโ€™t hesitate to go up to her.

Tickets to the Tampa Bay Blues Festival happening Friday-Sunday, April 12-14 at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg are still available and start at $70.
