She is joined by drummer and longtime partner Majid Shabazz — along with fellow Bay area jazz legend, bassist John Lamb — at her 85th birthday party that is also the premiere of “Kitty Daniels with Majid Shabazz: Living Jazz Legends,” a short documentary by filmmaker Louise Krikorian. Kitty Daniels and Majid Shabazz. Sun. Oct. 27, 3 p.m. $20. Mainstage Theatre at Hillsborough Community College, Ybor City. tampajazzclub.com.
