✔️Alex Skolnick Masterclass In the late 1980s, Berkeley-born thrash metal band Testament reigned over the harder-than-hard-rock landscape. The influential band ushered in the second wave of 1980s metal coming out of that Bay area. On guitar was Alex Skolnick, a skilled player trained by the one and only guitar-lick-daddy-supreme Joe Satriani himself. Skolnick departed Testament briefly to join Tarpon Springs metal legends Savatage in 1994, and on Monday he brings his brand of heavy metal meets world jazz to Tampa’s Replay Guitar Exchange for the workshop of a lifetime (or at least the year).
